Pilates Classes
With such a wide choice and variety of classes to choose from here at Bespoke Pilates Studio, you can be sure all your fitness needs will be taken care of.
Essential mat work
A great starting point for beginners or people who are recovering from an injury or prefer a slower pace, the Essential Matwork class teaches the Five Basic Principles of the STOTT PILATES method, and builds a foundation of exercises required to move on to the next level. This mat-based workout is designed to help participants develop leaner, longer-looking muscles, establish core strength and stability, and heighten mind-body awareness. Props may be incorporated to add variety. Participants are welcome to stay in the Essential classes until they feel confident enough to enter the Intermediate class.
Intermediate mat work
For more challenge, Matwork classes at the Intermediate level will take you through a dynamic, full-body workout that focuses on improving flexibility and core strength, with exercises that stretch and tone all muscle groups. Programming may vary from session to session to include, Stability Balls, Flex-Bands, Toning Balls, Fitness Circle®, and BOSU** balance trainers. Class capacity is eight participants.
Advanced Mat work
This is a fast paced dynamic workout that's going to give every part of your body a work out. Due to the pace and flow of the advanced workout there are some requirements that have been put into place.
- You must be completely confident with the intermediate matwork.
- Must be able to complete intermediate exercises without any props i.e. Arc barrels leg weights, blocks to sit on.
Core Challenge
This class will certainly challenge you core, a 60 minute full-body workout that focuses on improving flexibility and core strength, with exercises that stretch and tone all muscle groups. Programming may vary from session to session to include, Stability Balls, Foam Rollers, Flex-Band* exercisers, Toning Balls, Fitness Circle® resistance rings, and BOSU** balance trainers. Class capacity is eight participants.
Essential Reformer
This beginner's class introduces the most popular piece of Pilate's equipment, the Reformer. This class reviews the Essential Reformer repertoire and some Intermediate exercises. Start getting a great work out and all the benefits that come with working on the legendary Reformers from your first session, like the Essential matwork this class is a fantastic starting point for beginners or people who are recovering from an injury or prefer a slower pace. Participants will learn how to set up the Reformer and get an energizing total-body workout. Participants are welcome to stay in the Essential classes until they feel confident enough to enter the Essential / Intermediate class.
Capacity is eight participants.
Mat & Reformer
This is a fantastic class if you can not manage to fit in a Matwork and a Reformer class within the week as it combines the two in one class, focusing on your abdominals in your Matwork section then having a energizing workout and fabulous stretch on the Reformer machine. If you have not had Reformer machine training it's a fantastic way to see what these machines can do for your body.
Experience on the Reformer machine is better for this class but is not mandatory.
Class capacity is eight participants.
Group Reformer
Essential / Intermediate
Once you've taken a beginner Reformer course, you can move up to the Group Reformer class. These classes progress from Essential level to an Intermediate level. The pace is moderate, yet challenging and will tone muscles, strengthen the core and provide an invigorating total-body workout. Participants must take the beginner Group Reformer course or receive one to one training on the Reformer prior to taking this class, unless you have had previous training.
Class capacity is eight participants.
Advanced Reformer (not for the faint hearted)
This is a very challenging workout that requires experience on the reformers, as you will be using all that core strength you have built up to master the fun but tricky moves in this class.
All Classes are a duration of 60 minutes
The improved flexibility and body awareness that Pilates has given me, combined with the helpful staff and friendly atmosphere mean that for me Bespoke Pilates is more an holistic therapy than an exercise class.
